He may be best known for belting out his many hits, but recently Bryan Adams has been busy cultivating a second career as a photographer. The Canadian-born rocker, who now lives in London, has just published a second photographic book, entitled Haven, featuring the singer’s portraits of the Queen, Marianne Faithfull, Kate Moss and Darcy Bussell, among others.

To launch the publication, the proceeds of which are going to The Haven Trust, the Saatchi Gallery held a champagne reception for 500, followed by an auction of Bryan’s signed photographs, raising 150,000 for the charity which helps victims of breast cancer.

Famous faces at the gallery included Twiggy, Joely Richardson, Mel C, Nigella Lawson and her husband, journalist John Diamond, and Luciana Morad. They all had something to say about the disease that strikes down a significant amount of women every year. I lost my best friend, Linda McCartney,” said Twiggy, whose portrait sold for 7,500. “I miss her every day, that’s why I’m here tonight.
